What a beautifully sentimental location for the M family, and how gorgeous the fall foliage was in this area of Central Alberta.
Tara, Jose and I all met at sea, while working for Carnival Cruise Lines. We were fortunate enough to be from the same city (Tara and I) and had many mutual friends back home! What a thrill and honour to be able to take her gorgeous family’s photos all these years later, knowing what a wonderful story they have and so much history with our friendships. The photo shoot took place at Tara’s grandfather’s home, a place rich with memories and sentiment, and how beautiful for Tara and Jose to have photos of their beautiful children running along the same trees as Tara and her family did so many years ago. Situated on beautiful Sylvan Lake in Central Alberta, the house affords a stunning view of the lake, while being ensconced in beautiful natural rural Alberta scenery. This land is, as Tara’s grandfather used to say, “God’s Country”.
I shot this session using a borrowed camera- I had driven from Calgary more than an hour to get here having left my Nikon body on the kitchen counter! A special thanks to Jack who let me field test his Samsung, essentially saving the day!
