Behind the Lens- Christy Turner

Calgary photographer, Alberta photographer, landscape photographer, portrait photographer, Canada, Born and raised in Calgary, Christy is a nature-loving night skies and world travel photographer with a passion for the Aurora Borealis (Northern lights).  Living in the beautiful province of Alberta affords endless stunning landscape and wildlife opportunities, and her thirst for travel has taken her to more than 74 countries photographing the sights along the way. Her images have been widely published in Canada, USA and Europe and she loves sharing the stunning beauty of her surroundings with many.  She is based out of Calgary, Alberta and lives with her hobbyist photographer boyfriend John and their two cats.

In 2018, Christy is thrilled to celebrate her first overseas photographic commission being brought to France to photograph a 10 day, by-hand wine harvesting process at an 18th century estate in gorgeous Bordeaux, France. Her images will be used for 2019 marketing materials to wine sommeliers and suppliers throughout the world who visit this prestigious and historic vineyard.  Each year this family operation brings in a photographer from another country and Christy is ecstatic to be representing Canada photographically on this journey! Much more to come on this life-changing photographic assignment here!

Christy shoots all her images with her incredible Nikon cameras and uses Nikon, Sigma and Tamron lenses. She also flies a Phantom DJ 4 drone with a GoPro, and loves Manfrotto tripods.
